September: Start Again with a Clear Goal

September starts strongly with two events on the same day. The 10 KM du Trocadéro, scheduled for 6 September, ticks the urban 10K box: an officially measured course that can also serve as a qualifying race for the French championships. It is a great option to restart the season after summer, test your speed or target a personal best.

On the same day, the Paris Églises Tour offers a more original angle: a 10K route through Parisian religious heritage, plus a 5K walk. If you want a race with a cultural and community feel, this one is worth a look.

The following weekend, La Parisienne returns from 11 to 13 September with its event-focused format: 7K or 10K race, walk, yoga, village and a very festive atmosphere. It is less about pure racing and more about sharing a popular sporting moment.

For runners looking for something unusual, Les 24h du FAC take place on 12 and 13 September at the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud, on an 800 m loop with 40 m of elevation gain per lap. Solo or relay, this is the kind of format where strategy matters as much as legs.

On 19 and 20 September, MEMORUN offers a charity event in Vincennes for France Alzheimer. With kids races, a walk, 5K and 10K formats, it is a good choice if you want to run for a cause while keeping the distance accessible.

Late September is busy: YesWeRun Courbevoie on 26 September for a night-race atmosphere over 5K or 10K, then Paris-Versailles on 27 September for the classic 16K. Be careful with Paris-Versailles: it usually sells out very quickly, so any available bib is worth acting on fast.

October: Classic Race, Trail or Big Challenge

The first weekend of October brings two very different options. Odysséa Paris, on 3 and 4 October at the Château de Vincennes, focuses on charity with several formats: kids 1K, 5K charity walk, 5K run or walk, timed 10K and virtual formats.

On the same dates, the Foulée Suresnoise offers a full programme with kids races on Saturday, then 5K, 10K and half marathon on Sunday. It is a strong local option if you want several distances to choose from close to Paris.

11 October will probably be the biggest clash of the month. You can choose Les Voies Royales de Saint-Denis, with a finish announced on the Stade de France track, or the Harmonie Mutuelle 20 km de Paris, a Paris classic that passes several iconic spots in western Paris. On the same day, IRONMAN 70.3 Versailles targets a very different crowd with a full half-Ironman format: swimming in the Pièce d’Eau des Suisses, cycling through the Chevreuse valley and running a half marathon in Versailles.

Finally, to finish autumn on the nature side, Salomon EcoTrail Paris returns on 17 October with 20K, 50K and 80K trail races, followed by the CLAM TRAIL on 18 October in Clamart with 10K, 20K and kids trail formats. If you want to leave the road without going far from Paris, this is where it happens.

Which Bib Should You Choose?

If you want to run fast on the road, I would first look at the 10 KM du Trocadéro, YesWeRun Courbevoie or the 20 km de Paris, depending on your target distance.

If you want something friendly or charity-focused, La Parisienne, MEMORUN and Odysséa Paris are very good options.

If you want a challenge outside the usual road-race format, Les 24h du FAC, Paris-Versailles, IRONMAN 70.3 Versailles, EcoTrail Paris and CLAM TRAIL offer much more distinctive experiences.

In every case, check the schedule, required documents, PPS or licence requirements, and registration status before booking. Some races are already sold out or in high demand.

So, which bib have you chosen for this autumn?
